Our Beginnings
A summer trip to Dubai in 2021 that the outline of what is now Khimaar SA that took shape on the founder's holiday. What started out as a simple clothing purchase for herself in the streets of Deira and the regret of not buying more styles and then found the lack of availability of what is called a Khimaar in her country. A resale project of an item the founder designed and sewed became a business idea. With her love for Hijab from a young age she has currently designed 5 Khimaars styles with unique Khimaar strings that provide extra hold and comfort. As a niqabi she often gets bored of the same usual style. Khimaars allow playing around with different looks. We also source Khimaars and purchase some while travelling. To date Khimaars are something not easily found in South Africa so we hope to continue bringing fresh new styles. The love and support of the community keeps us motivated.
